Bishop Lamont D. Brown

Bishop Lamont Douglas Brown was born on October 16, 1975 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center to the late Overseer Porter and the late Co-Pastor Sheila Brown. Bishop Lamont attended Summerfield Elementary School through third grade and attended Bible Baptist Christian School for grades four through six. He graduated from Central Jersey Christian School in June 1994. He additionally attended the Academy of Culinary Arts in Mays Landing, NJ. Bishop Lamont also graduated from Screvens Memorial Bible Institute in Newark, NJ in 2010, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology.

Bishop Lamont Brown began dating Shalon Michelle Fisher in early 1991 and they were married on December 26, 1998. The Lord has blessed them with two sons: Omar Obadiah Brown and Elijah Elam Brown. They reside in Neptune Township. 

Bishop Lamont Brown was baptized as a youngster in the mid-1980’s and has been active in many areas of ministry at Faith. He has served as drummer, organist, and keyboard player in the Music Ministry and has faithfully taught Church School, Vacation Bible School, and at workshops. Additionally, Bishop Lamont Brown has served as relief instructor for the Adult Mid-Week Bible Class, Elder of Youth Ministry, Elder of Music Ministry, and Elder of Protocol here at Faith. On September 16, 2012, he was ordained as an Elder in the Lords Church and was elevated to the office of Assistant Pastor. On June 11, 2017, Bishop Lamont D. Brown was installed as Pastor of Faith Baptist Tabernacle. On March 25, 2022, he was appointed as Overseer-Designate by Power Outreach Cathedral under the leadership of Bishop William H. Young Jr., Presiding Prelate. On March 18, 2023, Bishop Lamont Brown was consecrated a Bishop in the Lord's Church at Convocation 2023 by Power Outreach Cathedral.

Bishop Lamont Brown has been preaching and teaching the word for many years. He continues to stand on Faith that the Lord will do what he promises. For he quotes, “It’s already done, you just have to catch up to it.”
